Texas Candidate for Governor Encourages State Sovereignty

Texas Gubernatorial candidate Larry Kilgore encourages Oklahoma to continue its trek toward sovereignty.

“I envision a political partnership between the sovereign nations of Texas and Oklahoma.” said Larry Kilgore in response to the news report that Joint House Resolution 1089, authored by Representative Charles Key (R) was passed by the 51st Legislature of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. (http://www.okhouse.gov/51LEG/Leg_Votesxx.aspx?include=okh01983.txt)

Specifically, Resolution 1089 says the following:

"The State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States."

The resolution resolves that Oklahoma will "serve as notice and demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers." Campaign Update

Elect Larry Kilgore

Christian Candidate for US Senate 2008 * Texas GOP Primary March 4th, 2008

Texas Independence! Biblical Standards!

Campaign Update: March 5th, 2008

The Larry Kilgore for US Senate campaign wants to thank all those who voted for him in the GOP Primary. We are enthused and encouraged as our campaign had an uncompromising Biblical and Constitutional message and received approximately 18% of the vote. We hope this will encourage others to run for public office and to vote principle over politics.

Thank you,
Angela Wittman
Campaign Coordinator
Elect Larry Kilgore

US Senate Candidate Larry Kilgore Calls for a Personhood Amendment to the Texas Constitution Defining When Life Begins:

“Today is the 35th anniversary of the American Holocaust commonly known as Roe v. Wade which has been responsible for the bloodshed of approximately 50 million babies in America and there is no better time than the present for Texas to help end the slaughter of preborn human beings by asserting and defining personhood of the preborn as beginning at fertilization.   Incremental pro-life strategies and abortion regulations have failed to end the murder of the preborn; success hinges on defining life and personhood as beginning at the moment of fertilization.

“As the Texas Constitution - Article 1 - Section 19 currently states: ‘No citizen of this State shall be deprived of life, liberty, property, privileges or immunities, or in any manner disfranchised, except by the due course of the law of the land.’ I propose this amendment be made to the Texas Constitution:

“No human being from the moment of fertilization until natural death shall be deprived of life, liberty, property, privileges or immunities, or in any manner disfranchised, except by the due course of the law of the land.”

“We need to provide protection for all people in Texas. Amending the Texas Constitution is achievable and desperately needed to protect those human beings conceived in less than ideal circumstances, the infirmed, the handicapped and the elderly.

Colorado, Michigan, Montana and Georgia citizens are already working toward providing this protection in their state constitutions and Texas should be doing the same.

“Texas pro-life Republicans need to attend their Precinct Committee meetings on March 4th and submit the following resolution for the 2008 Republican Platform:

‘Right To Life - All innocent human life must be respected and safeguarded from fertilization to natural death; therefore, the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. Therefore we support amending the Texas Constitution Article 1 -Section 19 to read: "No human being from the moment of fertilization until natural death shall be deprived of life, liberty, property, privileges or immunities, or in any manner disfranchised, except by the due course of the law of the land.’” – Larry Kilgore, candidate for US Senate.

US Senate Candidate Larry Kilgore Receives the Endorsement of Larry Youngblood of Cypress, Texas – a member of Texans for Immigration Reform

The Larry Kilgore for US Senate campaign is honored to receive the endorsement of Larry Youngblood a member of Texans for Immigration Reform and a member of the Texas Border Volunteers.

Mr. Youngblood recently released this statement:

“‘Our President has abandoned us’ says a Valley resident.  The Governor and our two Senators have as well.  They need to be removed from office.  The ballot box is our most effective tool.  For we Republicans, this means the Primary, March 4th.

“No matter how I look for signs that John Cornyn represents Texas, I continue to find no signs....just double talk and half truths and worse.  The following statement from John Cornyn on Ramos and Compean remains stuck in my craw and requires that I work to replace this man: ‘It seems to me what they did, which was to shoot this unarmed,

undocumented immigrant and then to cover it up and not report it...’”

Larry Youngblood also stated that he believes Senator John Cornyn is out-of-touch and that Larry Kilgore is a better alternative for the people of Texas to support in the March 4th Republican Primary.
